Founding Myth

When a company is founded, in addition to the "final product" of that organization, there is an idea, a way of doing things that changes from company to company, and that’s what makes them different. That's why GM, Ford, Toyota, Fiat and Tesla are different. Their founders had their way of doing things and little by little the organizational culture was created. No matter the size of the business, every company has its own culture, values, its "way" and that goes all the way back to the foundation. This is the Founding Myth.

The Founding Myth also happens in the foundation of countries. The "discovery" of Brazil had at its foundation the main purpose of "taking" everything they could to Portugal. Since then, Terra Brasilis has been robbed by the Portuguese (this discovery talk is bullshit!) and it keeps being robbed by politicians, public officials and even corrupt businessmen. Other countries in South and Central America also had this reason to exist, back in the beginning), and it still happens up to this day. Countries like Australia, New Zealand and the United States were founded with the purpose of being a new home, and so there is another founding myth: New York, New England, New South Wales, etc., were born to be the new home of their settlers.
